Yet another beauty from your fruitful vice! I especially like the color combo's along the body of this pattern! The slate wing is a real eye catcher as well! I can't wait for tomorrow's installment!

That's a beautiful fly! Reminds me of my "go to" fly at the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin, the Sierra Bright Dot.

I found a Ray Bergman reference to this fly. Can you explain to this ignorant noob what Black Hackle and Slate Wings means? It sounds remarkably generic. I guess you can use ANY black hackle, and ...?
