I'd like to try this on a couple ponds back home...

Mine won't be so pretty, but they should still be productive... :D

I love being in a float tube when they are headed to shore to emerge on the weed beds. Here is a simple 9672 #10 marabou pattern I use, and just tied two days ago for some fly box donations.

Sometimes a Red Wire rib on the Kaufman's damsel makes a difference. ;)

Very nice! Tying a damsel built as a traditional wet fly is not something I've ever seen or considered. Very cool.

For years I encountered this damsel fly on streams in the Midwest during the summer. It is an Ebony Jewel Wing.

At times they would be thick. I swing a Sheep Creek Special when i see dragon flies around so i put one on and the fish took it. That got the creative juices going and i first tied and fished this Sheep Creek variant and finally add flash with the last fly that I call a Swinging Damsel. The fish like the damsels.

I love the nature inspired patterns and color schemes. I see similar damsels along our local streams.
