Kevin Kirkelie
Hook - Long shank streamer hook, #4
Thread - Gray
Tail - Pearl mylar tubing (frayed from body)
Body - Pearl mylar tubing over shaped muffler tape or substitute
Wing - White bucktail then peacock herl
Collar - Chartreuse hackle
Notes: While walleye isn’t a common target for fly anglers, they will indeed come to the fly. These piscivores can be picked up on streamers and the combination of chartreuse and white can be quite a productive color combination.

Re: Walleye Wrecker
Norm, I was a very serious walleye angler for many years, It’s 45 minutes to the Saginaw river from my house and maybe a hour and half to the bay, but this streamer has Holloway Reservoir northeast of Flint written all over it! I’m tying a bunch of these and getting my walleye fishing buddy to take me out in his boat.
Thanks, Mike.
Thanks, Mike.

Re: Walleye Wrecker
It may be sacrilege, but I’m tempted to convert this to a tube fly. I’ve had good success with baitfish imitations as tube flies.
Muffler tape eh? That’s a new material for me to play with.
Beautiful baitfish imitation Norm.
