Thread - Black
Tail – Red hackle
Ribbing – Oval silver tinsel
Body - Burnt orange floss
Connecting wire – Beadalon .015, .018 or .024-inch diameter wire
Front hook – Mustad 9671 or equivalent, size 6
Thread – Black
Ribbing – Flat silver tinsel
Body - Burnt orange floss
Ribs – Oval silver tinsel
Throat - Red hackle
Wing – Lavender bucktail over mauve krystal flash over white bucktail
Topping – Peacock herl
Cheeks – Jungle cock
Eyes – Painted black over white (Optional)
Orientation of the rear hook may be pointed upward or downward as desired

Really nice one, Norm. I can see some lunker Brookie slamming that fly being trolled behind a canoe.
When you tie in the Beadalon wire to the front hook, do you take it through the hook eye and return?

Thanks for the link, Norm. I guess I'm just used to tying intruder style flies that run the wire/braided line through the hook eye and return on the bottom of the hook. Looks like a solid enough connection. The tandem streamers are really popular for trolling the lakes and beaver ponds here in Maine. For some reason, the tandems are illegal for use in a stream or river.
