Wow ! 😳. There’s been enough orders of that book on the forum that one could easily start
a small bonfire 🔥 and keep warm during this cold winter’s day. 🌬☃️🤓!

Paul Gaskin has a great overview of Spanish nymphing on their website, titled: Spanish Nymphing: What Really Matters in Howard Croston’s Leader.

https://fishingdiscoveries.com/spanish-nymphing/

Howard's euro nymphing leader is not tapered, but he uses three different colors on nylon leader in the same thickness, which he the video.

What I found this evening is Howard Croston stayed at Campfire Lodge Resort last year with Jim Slattery. Also, Howard Croston and John Shaner helped design a euro nymphing fly rod for Hardy, called the Hardy Ultralite LL Fly Rod. This is the same rod that Hardy’s Howard Croston used to win the 2020 FIPS World Championship Euro-nymphing.

See: https://www.purefishing.com/products/ul ... od-1523112.

John Shaner told me he is using the Hardy Ultralite LL Fly Rod in a 10'9" 3wt.

I received my 2 pairs of Euro dropper loop tying apparatus in the mail. These are a useful "euro" tool for quickly tying the loops to your dropper nylon tipper. Like anything "euro" just add the word "euro" to your product name and increase the price by 100% or more. :D

Of course you have to have a Euro nymph line and leader too.

I made 10 4-5" long droppers with the loop tool. It does take practice making the loops with 5X tippet material.

I got my copy a couple of days ago, and there's a lot to unpack in that book. I used to spend so much time trying to tie the perfect nymph pattern and here they are, using nothing but varnished copper wire. Good stuff.

Finally was able to find the loop tyer in stock and received mine.. Ditto Cheesehead... tying the loop with 5x does take some practice and nimble fingers. My tool is the small size and the loops are pretty small too...might have to find one of the large size tools to get some slightly larger loops...now that i thing about it, a larger tool would be nice
