On a Carey Special

Post by DarrellP » Mon Jul 04, 2022 10:17 am

My daughter caught this gorgeous 19 inch rainbow on a Carey Special. She went and had a tattoo of the fly put on her arm. Although I am not a fan of tattoos, I am so glad she enjoys fly fishing. Yesterday she brought another young woman with her to fish, and they want to learn to tie. Passing the torch, I guess.

Congrats to your daughter, that’s a memory that will last a life time. I think it’s wonderful that more women are getting involved in all aspect’s of fly fishing!

Wow, what a beautiful trout! I can tell from her smile that she’s hooked on fly fishing! :D

My niece also gets tattoos to capture happy memories.

Tattoo's are forever. In our culture and in our skin.
I have a granddaughter that has a rather large one on her thigh.
I am sure she will not be that last grand child to get "inked".

Pretty darn cool though that your daughter chose that fly for a tattoo.

Congrats to your daughter on such a nice fish.

And she and her friend want to learn to tie flies too. That's a bonus in my book. Pass it on because you may end up with grandchildren and great grandchildren taking tying and fishing to new heights. And all because of you.
