Mike, I did very well Friday on the Roaring Fork. I tied a few October Caddis pupa using Swiss Straw as wings. Similar to your photo/technique.

I am currently tying some tan pupa usingvthe same technique in preparation for a float on the Colorado tomorrow.

It did. At the time I thought it had saved the float and day. A little Gray and Partridge along with the pupa did double duty in bringing in some decent Browns

The only good thing about my poor photography skills is, you can not see my horrible tying .

I went on a float by myself yesterday, on the Roaring Fork. The fish hammered the Gray Caddis. I had a really fun trip.
