I did, Ken. I used a model 7 WFC, nymph hook.

I’m impressed that you typed a size 18 with the 4B hen. Did you wrap the hackle, or use bundled hackle fibers?

I love waxing silk with cobblers wax, it never comes out the same twice.
...which, I guess, if we're shooting for consistency, is a bad thing.
But I don't care.

That’s a very nice pattern – Greenwells is a real favorite of mine, although a true Greenwells cape is not the easiest thing to find, as is most good hackle.

Thank you, Ray. I wrapped it. The hackles at the size of a 4B cape really do not show the black at the center of the feather very well. I could go down to a size 20, but I have better hackle for that.
