Your boxes are immaculate; a shinning city on a distant hill; something to aspire to. My boxes, by comparison, look like a rusted, worm encrusted Hills Brothers coffee can full of #12 hairballs, ralphed up by one of the barn cats.

That is a cool fly box. Keep a band aid or two for the common puncture occurrence.
I first used an Altoid box when I first started out. I was so proud to have purchased my first dozen flies about 30 years ago. Then as I got more advanced, I used an old Macanudo Ascot tin. This easily held several dozen flies.

Dale,
The good old days!
My other companion box at the time was a Prince Albert can.

I did have a plastic rotary fly box for my good dry flies.

The good old days!
The enjoyment / cost ratio was significantly higher back then too!
