Little Olives

Post by DUBBN » Fri Apr 19, 2024 5:17 pm

I have had three days off in a row and have not fished once. The BWO's are coming out on my local rivers. I threw size 18 Olives together. Hopefully, I will fish them soon. Probably with an upstream approach.

Those look killer, Wayne. That pearl tinsel, gas bubble? Wing? Great looking bug, especially for size 18.

Thank you , Ron.
Yes, each fly has a single piece of small mylar as a wing (hot spot?)

Thanks folks. They are basic fly tying 101 patterns, but they have been effective the past few days.

Now there's a nice pair of twins in your net!
I plan to twist up a few of those patterns and might call them 101's
