Hot Furnace flymph

Post by ronr » Thu Dec 09, 2021 4:59 pm

Variant shared some interesting Berroco( I think) material and a beautiful Furnace Hen saddle. Working on a way to use them together... first attempt...
tail is from the furnace feather, body is Polish stripped quills in Ginger, wing is the Berroco in split thread, and the Furnace hackle.... I think the fly will fish... but the photo doesn't do justice to the flash from the wing...or the beauty of this furnace hackle

Agreed! Terrific pattern Ron. I’ve never used Berroco or the Polish quill materials, but hope to after seeing the possibility. Thank you for sharing.

Variant (Lou) and thank you for sharing materials with Ron. As you can see, it keeps him out of trouble.  ;) :D

Great job! Ron,
It did not take you long to put that pattern together and I really the name.
Ron also shared with me some feathers and fur that was given to him.
As they say , one hand washes the other.
That is what makes this forum so special.
