Beautiful, Wayne. I especially like the B13's. Those will work up here, and work well.

Ya know Dana, I have never had a bunch of luck either when fishing purple patterns! I don't know why! On a similar way, when I spin fish (is it OK to say that here?) with stick baits, etc., purple is the hot color. Purple over silver sided bodies! I realize that larger baits and smaller flies are not attracting the same game animals. The "purple and....." patterns just don't seem to produce on my quiet waters and with my always ravenous pan fishes!
Doug
Wayne, your patterns all look spectacular esp. the purples!
Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

Purple has never been a confidence color for me either. Last year 2 of the 3 fish that I took on soft hackles, that were over 3 pounds took Purple. By fishing patterns gathered in the swaps we have here on FAOL, I have gained a respect for purple SH's. Will it be the first color I use? Maybe.

Heck yes. I found the love for light Yellow a few years ago. I haven't looked back.
