Allcock or Hardy Vise wanted

Okay, I've been quietly hunting (it's an ex-sniper thing) for an Allcock or Hardy vise similar to an Allcock 654. If it has a removable gut twisting hook, so much the better. I've Googled them, searched Flea-Bay in the US and UK to no avail. I'm not looking for a museum piece, but something I can dress a few wee wets on at a tying show or three. If you have one of these old tools gathering dust in your closet, let me know. Maybe we can work something out.

Didn't you just get a new vise?

Carl,
I've been tying on my Snowbee-Waldron for a couple of years now. I'm looking for the antique just to dress a few flies on it at the shows (well, that and it would look really cool with my Walton's Engine). The drool simply caused a few water spots that wiped off quickly. No rust or anything.

REE, i've got an old (the second one ever made) HMH vise i'd be willing to sell for exactly what i paid for it.....$400. Works fine and comes with the original gold/brass base..............just in case your interested. i just never use it except to hold flies for display.
You pay the shipping, i'll throw in a hackle gauge to go wiff it.

Thanks for the welcome back. Just not sure I'm all the way back yet. I find myself driving places, not remembering how I got there, but remember the songs I sang on the way. No loud honking, brakes squealing or yelling so my driving must be okay.

John is a very talented craftsman. When he volunteered to make the vise, I wasn't expecting anything like that.
