Silk---And Rayon

HI All

For you knowledgeable tiers out there. Their both shiny glossy but their is very little mentioned about rayon in place of silk. Its not hard to figure out silk is better but their is always a, in depth explanation ,it would be good to hear a few.

I have quite a few questions, with Mikes posts and others, hope you fellows don't mind a few of the betters thoughts.

Silk, when wet, changes color and gains a certain translucency. If you used rayon in it's place, the wetted fly would look very different.
