Thread: Benecchi 12/0, olive
Eyes: Brass beads, strung on red mono
'Tail': Flash, clear
Body: Veniard Llama mix, olive - in Gudebrod waxed nylon, chartreuse, loop
Hackle: Partridge, dyed olive
Head: Argentinean hare, dark olive

That would be deadly on stillwater lakes and ponds. Dragon fly nymphs are excellent forage for large trout.

Hans,

Well done! This looks like a great pattern. The partridge and other materials really come together to make a nice imitation. Now, how about a damselfly nymph?! ;)

Extended body: Pintail barbs, dyed olive; llama, olive and green mixed; tying thread - overhand knot cinched tight, tag ends incorporated into extended body
Thorax/legs: Pintail fluey barbs, into split thread

Great video. I tied several up with materials I have. But I am lacking llama. I used a craft hair with acceptable results. The hook substitute I used was probably the weakest link. Is there a llama substitute or where can I purchase it in the US? My Google search wasn't all that definitive. At least this past week end, my attention and patience were lacking with a miserable cold.

Thanks Hans! Do you tie this in a tan as well? The dragonfly nymph in my area are olive to tan in color
