I did ask for more info about the Usk Naylor and Mark Roberts of the Gwentanglingsociety give me this answere:

(Quote) "To answer your question it was first developed by a Mr P Naylor in the 1950's whilst fishing the Worcester Cottage beat on the Usk. (It should never be confused with the Nailor which is old reservoir pattern from the 70's and is completely different.) This used to be the fishing lodge of the Duke of Beaufort many years ago and is one of the beats on the Usk that is a mixture of hard rock gullys and riffles and runs as opposed to true traditional freestone.
The fly itself however wasn't tied by Mr Naylor but by the gillie there by the name of Gordon Price who was a real character and fine tier and inventor of other flies.
Used to imitate the dark Olive emerging nymph and a real fish catcher. If you tie it later in the year with grey mallard flank as opposed to the bronze mallard it can be fished in smaller sizes throughout the season." (Quote)
