Great looking pattern Ray. The albino peacock looks more like bleached pheasant tail. Curious if it still has the shimmer of the natural green?

A goosed peacock makes the strangest noise you've ever heard. We were at the zoo and.....Oh..groused peacock.

I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

No. The piece I have seems pretty opaque. I cut the herl fibers directly off the stem, just below the eye. The herl looks a lot like ostrich herl, in terms of color (solid white). The fibers are just much shorter along the edge of the herl. This stuff is super delicate. I'm usually pretty good with peacock herl bodies, but I'm breaking this stuff repeatedly. I would not recommend this stuff for production tying, that is for sure...

Ray,
When I first saw each of your patterns I thought Dette's "Coffin Fly". Each one of these is beautiful. I can see either one of these disappearing in a swirl on your favorite trout waters...
and most definately on my still waters!
Great job Ray. I am always in awe of your patterns! You can't see it but my jaw is on the floor right now!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.
