Full Head of Hare

Post by tie2fish » Fri Mar 25, 2011 9:11 am

I know this concept has been done ("Casual Dress" using muskrat), but I thought it might be interesting to try it using "bunny face" ...

Full Head of Hare
Hook: Daichi 1550, #14
Thread: Uni 8/0, rusty brown
Abdomen: Blended hare's mask from cheek area, twist dubbed
Thorax: Hare's poll (between the eyes) in dubbing loop
Front collar: Long hairs from sides of face in dubbing loop and wrapped as hackle

This photo is lost.

This is definitely a suggestive style pattern. Meaning I don't think the trout will be able to tell where the abdomin starts and the thorax starts any better than I can. (huge smiley) This does look very effective, wild man.
