Hackle: From middle back of cock ringneck
Tail: Tips of three bronze mallard shoulder barbs
Body: Stripped dark ginger rooster quill wrapped with remainder of bronze mallard barbs

Bill, this really does it for me. Those barbs look great and I've never tried to tie with ring neck. Did you wrap it as a hackle or put it in a loop?The whole thing works beautifully.

Thanks gents. w ~ the hackle is one wrapped turn; these barbs were out near the end of the feather, so the stem was fairly thin and flexible.
