Hank,

My provider's service seems to have an issue - out of my hands. Hopefully will get resolved swiftly.

Thank you Hans! Your detailed explanation and the close up video is extremely helpful. Even how you wind on the ribbing so that it lays on the underside of the hook can be seen. Looking forward to using this collar/hackle technique!

Dynomite video.....beautiful fly. 8-) .....naturally some of you realize..........but for those who don't, it takes a tremendous amount of skill & experience to be able to dubb (using that exact technique), Seal fur that way, and not only keep it tight enough, yet just slightly loose enough to be able to very sensitively move it up the thread when the time comes, and i do not mean just "push it up" (observe exactly how he does it), and then also have it continue to remain tight enough to do (wrap), the entire body, rear to front, without ever having to re-tighten...........that's a master tyer. ;)
Hans be like Michael Jordon with his toung hangin' out.........make it look SSSOOOO easy. Frickin' HELLO!!!!! :D

Thanks Hans for the video. I struggled already for some time with the hackle barbs that are to long, you gave me the solution, now my hands must learn how to do it.

Seeing as how my PC is just one step up from slate and chalk, I had a couple of "issues" trying to view the video, them when I got it...... I had no sound!
Three hours and much swearing later......... great work Hans!
I have read of the method, tried it even, but never got anything I was happy with. I get lots of big feathers, some self harvested from some of our larger birds that can be hunted, some from roadkill and a lot from some of the exoticspecies my parents have in their aviary. Some of the King Parrot feathers are spectacular, but big, grey underside- bright gree top side and tipped in bright orange.
Now I have seen this neat video presentation, I feel I can use them to good effect.

Thanks muchly Hans!
