Me too. That was my initial thought. Those guardhairs make this one of the first I would go to out of the box (or wallet :D ) streamside.

Vicki, Howdy;

Both tyes impress the crap outta me... (in a good way of course :) ).

I enjoy the way the first fly gives the impression of a workman, sleeves
rolled-up, ect....

The second one strikes me as the same person, only put their Sunday-go-to-meetin'
clothes on, or more business like .....

Excellent all the way around !!!

Thanks for shareing,

hank

I kind of liked the first one as well even though the collar didn't come out as intended. Mistakes can be a could thing. The second one would be better with a bit sparser collar I think. It's just a case of getting a hang of the proportions.

The rust brown tying thread is my favourite. I like the colour it adds to the fly when wet. Sort of orange but not too much, quite a natural shade of orangey brown.

:D

Vicki, these are killer ties once again. You are on a ROLL. Keep it up. I am just amazed by your talent here. This fly, and the Irish looking fly....are stunning. (mumbly bumblee, or whatever you called it...I am bookmarking BOTH) Very inspiring ties. I am thrilled for you, as you really went all out on these, and it shows. Bravo!
