I love the hackle. Speaking of Jungle Cock, these feathers would make an great imitation JC nail. I wrote an article a couple years back, using Hungarian Partridge coverlet feathers, but I think these would work even better. Very cool.

Bill, that is a beautiful saddle and a great pattern to show it's quality. Nice score. I haven't tied with the dyed peacock herl before, and I forget when I see it how cool it looks. Opens some new doors for some of the sparse spider patterns with a peacock thorax or head.
