Chocolate Dun Flymph
Thread: Griffith's 14/0 in dark brown
Tail: dark dun hen fibers
Body: Dun and natural hare's mask spun with Pearsall's dark brown silk thread. (this is one of the pre made strands that was done on my knee as described in Art of Tying the Wet Fly and Fishing the Flymph)
Hackle: dark dun hen hackle
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Carl, this is becoming one of my favorite hooks for these patterns. I'm glad I got my hands on some. It certainly works well for this. The chocolate is a nice name for this one. It's the quintessential flymph, in a new flavor. Great post.

Carl,
It's great to see your flies "hatching" once again on our pages. Keep them coming!

Thanks gentlemen.
William I have liked these hooks for a long time for classic style. I do find when fishing with them I bend the barb down a bit and have to sharpen the hook. You can't bend the barb down all the way or it often snaps and then filing is in order.
Mark, thanks. I've been lurking, just really busy this time of year.

Carl, I've had the same experience with these hooks. Still worth it for me. They just look so great. Again, this is a beautifully done fly.
