Field tested these on some Bluegills today. One acre pond, 80 Deg air temp, clear skies, mid-afternoon. (you go when you can go) The 'Gills ate 'em up! Accounted for some really nice fish. Gonna try some out with a little weight soon. (Black bead?)

Ha, no doubt: that's a great looking fly. (BTW, it is possible to "match the hatch" with hornet/wasp larvae--though I'd recommend knowing how to double-haul first. )

Cool pattern and a nice use of the floss. It's nice looking on the gold hook. I can see this being a killer in a lot of different water. Post the bead when you tie it up.

C.C. ~ Wiser heads than I have claimed that fly tying is a craft rather than an art, but your postings disprove this premise for me. Like what's gone before, this one is deserving of a frame.
