Thread- Black Kinkame silk
Rear body- Just over 1/2" of zonker strip *
Mid body- Two black Ostrich herls wrapped
Hackle- Soft strippings from base of hackle feather dyed red.
*The small section of zonker strip is wrapped around the shank, the butt's of the hair held in place by thread wraps. The leather of the pelt is then trimmed away. Sort of a hair collar. Could be done by placing the fur in a dubbing loop/brush or split thread, but rabbit can be fiddly fur to deal with off the skin.
