I have not had the pleasure of fishing for trout in a northern lake, but I hear in clear stillwater this type of pattern is a go to. It's beautifully done.

Perfect example of a master tier versus the likes of me. How to make a simple fly look so elegant!
I have some green mylar that is copper on the underside, never thought of using the copper side of that material, might now.

Hans, that is very nice...I love copper on a fly. The claret looks red on this computer for some reason. Anyway, lovely work here.
