JerryG,

I've used that wee black spider to target rising fish at odd times of day and under most water conditions. I also use it as a searching pattern with great success. There's just something about James Baillie's dressing that fish can't seem to resist. Size 14 on a 2X Short hook seems to be the magic size for me.
