I'm assuming you're referring to the way the two flies are tethered?

It's really simple; the top fly - dry - is attached the the tippet in the normal way. The bottom fly is attached to a finer tippet at the length needed. The two flies are then attached at the bend of the dry.

Thanks for sharing that info Boris. I appreciate the addition and follow-up to my post in another thread. What little catching I have done from this style has been mostly on smaller stillwater. Probably more a factor of my decision to use other flies in the scenario that you describe above. But, I do know of a place where this might serve me very well.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Thanks for the recipe, Boris. I picked up some CDC a couple of months ago but have not tried using it yet. Those streams you fish are interesting. Very different from the freestone waters I usually fish here in north central Idaho.

This may be of interest. Stefan sent a few more flies my way and allowed me to photograph them. They are a beautiful set, but the one that struck me first was the first one I wanted to tie onto a tippet. This CdC version looks like it would kill as an emerger or beetle. I will definitely add a couple of these and the Boris CdC Emerger for trials this season.

Nice fly, Stefan. Please comment if you see this.

W,
This was my take on IOBO Humpy http://www.danica.com/flytier/steps/iob ... _humpy.htm I was thinking of a small stream I have visited a couple of times where I wanted to try it.
