Doug,
I'm really enjoying these flies, and thanks to Ruard for getting them on the board for us to be inspired.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
Thanks for the positive feedback on my flies that Ruard has so graciously posted for me! Some have been a blast from the past and others a little more recent. If this forum does nothing else, it inspires a person to try new techniques and gives one the drive to try their best in achieving a goal....namely the perfection of a pattern seen. If immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then all the contributing members should be feeling the flattery about now. I have to admit, there is practically no original methods or materials in my tying. I am simply having a blast in immitating what I see and I really like what I see on this forum. Thanks to all of you for creativeness in your tying that is beyond description. It is a true joy to set down nearly every evening and behold what the worlds best tyers have to offer. There will never be a better collection of qualified, talented, and classy people creating such a fine and true art form as there is right now on this web-site. I am simply proud that all of you include me in this joy!
Ruard, many thanks to you for bringing my patterns to light in the special way that you do!
Tie2fish, I hope you know that I take every bit of enouragement that you offer to heart!
Wishing everyone the best in the year ahead of us,
Dougsden
Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Ruard is suggesting that Dougsden should not be hiding his light under a bushel. ;) I agree, by the way ...
