DONALD ~ THESE ARE VERY NICELY CONCEIVED FLIES; I ESPECIALLY LIKE THE LAST TWO. I'M ALSO FASCINATED BY THE LIGHTING YOU'VE USED TO MAKE THE HACKLE GLISTEN LIKE THAT.
Some of the same morons who throw their trash around in National parks also vote. That alone would explain the state of American politics. ~ John Gierach, "Still Life with Brook Trout"

Me too, Donald. I really like this whole group. When you put six wonderful flies all in the same post, it does make one want to vote, for some reason, and it would be a very hard choice. I especially like the fifth with the embossed body and the proportions on the hook. They are all wonderfully done. Great discussion on the body materials. The camel dubbing too is interesting to me. I'm making a list...Magpie skin and camel dubbing. I swear, I'm trying to scale back, but you guys (Vicki included) don't make it easy. :D

I'm going to leave that sitting there until I need it sometime down the line. I'm patient.

WH, are you calling me a hypocrite? You're right if you are, I just want to make sure youre painting an accurate picture. I can say contradictory things in the same sentence and mean them both with the most sincerity. I like to think it's a special gift. :D Everyone has a few gifts like this if they can look with objective lenses...not going to mention any names. wouldn't dare.

And thank you.

William, not in the least.......it was just another sometimes sick attempt at humor. One of my basic defense mechanisums. Not that you had appeared to be on the attack in any way, shape, or form. i've just had my chops busted by some of the best in the business for over a half century.....so i occasionally find it fun to deal on that level. It becomes a way of life after a while, and those who can't take it bore me...............hey, nobodie's perfect. ;)

Mark, you didn't need to follow up with a nice response. I was just enjoying the razzing and dishing a little back, hopefully in a way that doesn't ruffle feathers. (well, maybe some of you older folks with brittle feathers :D See, I did it again.)

Donald, sorry your thread has all this extraneous content on the tail.

William, if i wasn't being completely honest.....i wouldn't say *****! There's only a few things i detest. Hippocrates (and your not one, far as i can tell), being bored, having my time wasted, and those who get familier and or disrespect their elders. Remember that. :D 8-)
