Mataura mayfly - you are right about cradleing a child until the ambulance arrives. Logan was conscious but very confused about what had happened and kept asking what day it was, and what month? The ambulance arrived shortly after I arrived on the scene but I did have a minute or so to comfort him as best I could and assure him that he was going to be OK and that the doctors would take good care of him. Of course, now, he doesn't remember any of that!

He had a bad crash last summer too, not quite as serious though, which sent him to the hospital. When I saw my son laying on the ground this time I remember thinking, not again! Why couldn't it have been someone else this time!
