With a little bit of luck I will be able to compare both techniques this weekend. ;)

Mark (willowhead), as always, thanks for the kind words. Plan is to float the Gunnison this Saturday below Pleasure Park. I will take some pics.

Hi Wayne......i'd give almost anything to be with you on that float. i gotta tell ya, every time i looked downstream there, tryin' to visualize the river below that bend at the bottom of the park........it was just so magical, thinking about what would be there in terms of the scenery and the fish. Naturally i had super studied the wayer all along the way up to the park from Delta quite a few times already, in both directions, so i knew how beautiful the river was/is. But the perspective you get when actually on the water, is always so much more intimate and enlightning.
Please enjoy the day even more for me. At this point in time i wouldn't last 15 minutes in a boat because of pain issues. There's a damn good chance i'll never fish again............so, kiss one or me. ;)

For some stupid reason.......i've ammended me goal to just make my birthday on the 16th.........they're starting the radiation treatments on the 14th

Well, I am stuck floating the Roaring Fork or Colorado. My buddy from Denver cant get the time off for a trip down the Gunnison, so he is meeting me in Glenwood for a float Saturday. The fish from either of those rivers are kinda weird. They slip you the tongue when you kiss em. Thats ok, I will plant a smacker on em for you! ;)
