Those would knock the bluegill dead around here. Probably lots of other fish, too.

Re: "McGilly Bug" Soft Hackle
Being as I am primarily a panfisher, I think I'm going to have to try a few of these up tonight to toss in the creek in the morning.
I stomped a bee on the bank and tossed it in the water one time, it didn't make 10 feet before it got massacred. (Pronounced massa`kreed in these parts.)
Thanks for the inspiration.

olololollol!!!OLOLOLOLOL! I'm easily amused.
You'll have to excuse my ignorance, but why or what makes this color scheme tempting to fish. To me it looks like a wasp fly. I'm not questioning your fly, I'm just trying to catch more bluegill in my little pond in the middle of los Angeles up on a 1200 ft. hill at 6:00 in the morning. Just ask'n. Ya know... learn'n.

I'm guessing it because they look like candy. Mmm...candy...
Good luck Kirk & Ariel! I hope you have a great day. It is a beautiful fall day here in Western New York. Nice and cold, clear and sunny. Last night we had our first frost on the pumpkins (overnight low of 27°F). The leaves are well into their color change & the air has that nice crisp smell to it. I love fall...

Yep, getting cold here, too. It was 60 most mornings last week.....
I got the flies tied, but didn't manage to make it out fishing. The annual car show was going on and I had to go. Had to. By the time I was through there, the wind was up past the cussin' point, so I walked the creek with my camera, practicing. Had a good, quiet couple of hours. If this band of rain blows through, I may go out later today.
