Extremely wise decision Kelly............i'm proud of you. i only got to be around Rah 5 or 6 times.....fortunately 3 of those times were for a week at a pop. So i was with him 21 days right there. Another time we (some of the staff at the Keystone), all went out to the airport just to spend a couple hours with him, as he had a flight layover on his way to Oregon and a party/some kinna Shin-Dig at Ken Kesey's house..............so as he was commin' off the plane, (we had brought flutes, recorders, tamborines, bongos, guitars, whatever with us), we're playin' Bright Moments..........boy he DUG it. He was so surprised and happy.....cause he didn't know we were commin'. It was fun. i did a concert with him once at the Oakland Paramont Theather opposite Flora and Airto.....that was a great concert too. Rah, was "Something ELSE!" A Eulipian.......i think i still have my "Member of the Vibration Society" badge in a suitcase up in the attic in Roscoe. There would never of been a Keystone Korner without Rah. One Ton, and it Aint Gonna Get No Lighter.....
Bright Moments! 8-)

You were right in the thick of it. I liked jazz a lot in the 80's. Rock and Blues, or even better...a mix of the two are what I really love. David Sanborn, and Kenny G were two that come to mind. I was into jazz with a lot of saxophone!

Only life i ever knew from high school (graduated in '68), on Kelly.......til i finally went fishin' permanately round 2002..............the fly fishing and tyin' started in '89 & '93, so there was an over-lapping period of more than a decade........but i didn't quit working until very late 2001, after 9/11 went down and N.Y.C. became a police state. That's when i decided if i don't fish now, when am i gonna fish, when i'm to old to safely wade. Hell no.....and i never looked back. Just rode off into the sunset..........headed straight for Montana and the rest is history. That was one hell of a 30 yr. ride though.........nothin' but the music 24/7.....all over the world...........BIG FUN!
