Thanks Kirk. I am gonna have to remember to put one in my vest. I took some of these flymphs to the local lake, which I really don't like going there.... but it was close. The sunfish liked it. I got a big one on there...one of the ones from this thread. Got a good bite on the other, but I lost it. I was just there a little while. Not much place to fly fish there. Poison ivy all over the place. Weed beds and trees surrounding the little lake. Still, it was good to get out. The water levels are almost back to normal. I think I am going to Caddo next weekend. I can really test these out then!! The nice bream I got today, I thought was a turtle initially. It was not far from my fly...but the turtle went underwater, so I couldn't tell. It tugged like a turtle. I thought, OH NO. I hate catching turtles. They get mean when you try to remove the fly. Now I don't want to get bit by one, because they won't let go,if they do bite. Now I just cut the line if they are giving me a problem. The wind started gusting hard, so I left. This is the lake that I got my fly stuck in a vine, growing up a pine tree...during the fall or winter. I went over and started tugging that line down to retrieve my fly. (bare handed too) My friend comes up, grins, and says, you DO KNOW that that is a poison ivy vine, don't you? I freaked. I never used to be allergic to it, but I am now. So I high tailed it over to the water, washed vigorously, and then got to my truck as fast as I could. I could hear them laughing as I left. I got home, and immediately took a very hot, LONG shower. I can't go there without thinking of it...lol.
