Snipe and Purple

Post by DUBBN » Thu Oct 07, 2021 5:17 pm

Thanks to the flies from Newriverspey (Otto) , and the materials (Snipe fearthers and Pearsalls Silk) sent to me by FlyFisherMann1955 (Ken) I have some confidence to fish a Purple pattern.

Those will do the business, Wayne. I'd fish those with confidence any day.

Absolutely gorgeous patterns Wayne! Anything (you insert the appropriate hackle) and purple is a winner indeed! Ever wonder why? We talk about Partridge and Orange and Yellow and Green and....They are all good patterns (colors)! There is just something about Purple!
Impressive Wayne, very good tying on your part!

Fish when you can, not when you should! Anything short of this is just a disaster.

Very nice ties, I like your muskrat-ed version.

The more acquainted I become with tying the soft hackle style of flies, the more partial I am to a nice little thorax.
