Brahma hen capes

Post by Partsman » Tue Dec 28, 2021 5:18 pm

Well I ordered a Brahma cape back in October from an fly shop in California, last month I called and was told to be patient, which I am . Just wondering is this a seasonal thing with this species? Is this part of the supply chain thing? I’m hoping to get it eventually and I really don’t care as long as they haven’t charged me yet, in the meantime I have ordered several items from eflytyer and I’m very happy with his service.

Two months for a Brahma hen cape? Sounds odd to me. If I need feathers, www.jimsflyco.com is the only place I trust for quality, service and price.

John, it was a badger medium dun, I’ve looked around on line at different fly shops and most are out of the whiting Brahma hen capes. On a good note I got some nice looking Collins hen sets from BRFS. So I’m able to start tying some more variety of flies.
