Hustler Flymph

Can't remember if I've already posted this one or not, but if I have, forgive me, I'm claiming dementia. This one is working good over western march brown, & also spotted sedge.

Is the Brahma hen dyed, or natural? I’m guessing it is dyed.

Thanks Ray. The hackle is natural welsumer brahma hen. Not dyed. What I love about the welsumer is that the barring is so distinct, & the brown coloration has a translucent glow. Order some chicks in the spring & by late fall you'll have it. Down to a partial cape so considering raising a few next season. If I do I'll save you one.

Thanks Ron. I've never really gone away. I'm like the plague, disappearing for awhile, then erupting again.

As an aside, I just tried finding Welsummer hens for sale near me and they are scarcer than the proverbial hens teeth this time of year.
