BWO Transition Flymph

Here is another BWOTF variation based on viewing http://www.troutnut.com/specimen/641 with the view of the grayish shuck...

Very interesting. I have used mallard or antron trailing, but never made the thickened caudal abdomen. Obviously, your fly has a very realistic profile.

Bill,

After looking at the pictures of the natural, I'm tempted to use pale dun raffia for the trailing shuck. I need to play around with this pattern. Looks extremely effective.

I have this also tied on 16's and an 18 1x short Scud hook for testing. ;)
