This is a group of wee wets that I tied up for our local club raffle. All of these are #20's and smaller. it has been a while since I tied up this small of flies. I used to tie quite a few of #20 to #22's for a couple spring rivers nearby. The water was catch and release only with picky trout and crystal clear water.
Mylar Dun #20
Hare's Lug and Plover #21
Wee Caddis #20
Red Hackle #20
Blue Dun #20

Delicate little gems I'd say. Nicely done.

Small in size, but BIG in fish appeal! Lethal looking bunch, Carl.

How very interesting.
What you have actually tied are Tummel style wet flies
on modern small hooks.
Have a look at these pages -
http://donaldnicolson.webplus.net/page153.html
They tied small flies on standard size hooks
because no smaller hooks were available,
and the weight of the larger hooks sunk the
flies quicker.
