I like it. I'd maybe like it a bit more if the tail was wool. The poly yarn might tend to keep the tail high in the water.

I like it. But I had to chuckle a bit because this is a picture of a fly that I came up with a couple years ago that I have been growing fond of.

Here is a fly I tied quite a few years ago,
called the Poacher. It is a pattern that
originated in Scotland 20s-30s but is still
very popular. My photographic skills were a bit
rudimentary when the pic was taken.
The Poacher
Hook: 14-12 wet fly -trout
10-6 “ sea-trout
4 low water - salmon
Tail: G.P. Breast fibres.
Tag: Gold or fluo orange floss.
Rib: Fine oval gold tinsel.
Thorax: Peacock herl.
Hackle: Furnace (red/black) cock or hen.

Haven't seen a pattern in this thread I didn't like. May have to dress a couple of each and throw them at some trout.
