I filled the last row in my new flybox with that pattern!

But after soaking my old brittle Grizz hackle stems in hair conditioner overnight I wanted something simpler to tie.

I thought of the old Mosquito patterns I tied and came up with this...

Tough day on the Middle Deschutes, but this one scored on a couple of fish out of the 6 flies I fished for about an hour.

The river was running at bank full width, about a foot higher than the usual level I like to wade. My 11-week-old knee was not comfortable with the level and the shifting rocks. Still, it was fishing!!
