Excellent fly William! That could pass for numerous insects. Love the color combination and the proportions. Beautifully tyed.

Here is an Iron Blue Nymph I did a while back, I really like 'Possum
Iron Blue Flymph

Hook: 14
Silk: Crimson
Tail: Light Dun Hen
Butt: Crimson silk 2-3 turns
Body: Dark dun 'possum fur
Hackle: Light dun hen, Conranch.

Donald. That is a really nice Iron Blue. The possum looks as good a material as muscrat or mole. Thanks for posting that.

William, It is "Awesome 'Possum", I don't know if that is American or Australian 'possum.

I missed this one. Very nice subdued pattern William. reminds me of the Old Iron Dun patterns.

Nice patterns, I get a lot of use out of the Iron Blue patterns in the mid spring and in the fall .
