Olive and starling spinner (my first dressing post)

I noticed that I haven't dared to post any patterns here, until now that is. I have a Starling skin and there are some nice beige feathers on the underside of the wing, just a few ones. I think they are called lesser primary covert. The barbs is very delicate so I thought that they would make a nice pattern when spinners are around. Feel free to comment, and any info on your experience fishing with this design in appreciated. This one I tied on a Mustad R50 #12.
/Cheers, Martin

I am delighted to see your first pattern posting, Stendalen! I love the delicacy of a lightly dressed fly. Should be highly effective on finicky (selective) fish. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to seeing more of your flies in the future.

Martin - I was just looking at the photos in your public photo album and enjoying the photos from what looks to be a fishing trip. I had to laugh at the photos where the flowers were being used as hats (hung in front of the lens to look like a hat on the person in the distance).
That looks like beautiful countryside you were fishing in. Nice fish too.

Yeah my son likes to play around. He is 13 and lucky his spinning rod broke the first day on this trip, so now he is all in for flyfishing, and ties some really nice flies as well! Those photos were from very northern part of Sweden (Abisko).

Martin, nicely done. That is exactly the way I imagine the traditional spiders to look. Thanks for posting your first. Looking forward to lots more.
