Hackle: Light Dun Brahma hen
Abdomen: Tying thread wrapped over with Pearlescent mylar tinsel
Thorax: White Antron fibers dubbed to tying thread-gently roughed with a dubbing needle

I had a smile on my face the instant I read the name. Somehow I was expecting a pink fly. Lovely pattern Mark. If the hackle had been white, I would have named this one "Snowflake". Great to see you back at the vice.

As with the latest claret patten this one would make a nice chironomid imitation as well. I like the Daiichi hooks. Just ordered some to try and I really like them. I ordered #16 and #18 though. They are smaller than I suspected so I will have to get some #14's.

Good looking fly. The composition of the thorax is interesting, and looks great.

You're really on a roll, Mark; that beautiful pattern in that size would be a killer during the white fly hatch on the Yellow Breeches. I also like that Daiichi 1640 hook, and discovered the same thing as did Old Hat when I ordered some #16's and #18's -- they are smaller than you would expect.

Mark, there is a certain quality to your photo's that is certainly worth mentioning. I think it has to do with depth of field. Almost every one of your flies seems to be suspended (without hooks, wires, or gadgets that show) and perfectly centered in the frame with the background slightly blurred and the best optical clarity at the center of the fly (front to back that is). It has become your trademark as it were and I really like this effect. It makes every detail stand out and there is no place to hide any imperfections. So far, in all the pic's on your web-site and here as well, I haven't found any imperfections. Your tying is great and I just wanted you to know this. It is good to see the fruits of your labors of love!
