Doing the taxes will have to wait 'til another day. Besides, John Shaner is in town today ...
Hook: Daiichi 1260, #14
Thread: Pearsall's Gossamer, primrose
Hackle: Golden plover
Body: Dubbing brush, imitation Chadwick 477 wool blend in red wire

OOOhhhhh that's a nice one.....beautiful. i'm using the Daiichi 1270 size 8 hook for the Syl Nemes swap.
btw, for well over 20 yrs., if our accountant didn't hear from us by April 15, he'd just automatically file an extension.......lmao

sometimes we didn't even do our taxes annually......every couple years is more than enough.....long as they own you........they couldn't care less if they ever hear from you..........

Bill, I always like the modeling on plover. Nice combination and great fly. I'll have to make more use of wire dubbing brushes. Nicely done.

t2f,
That is a beauty! Well dressed indeed. Love the look of Plover on almost any fly, coupled with the red wire dubbing brush and the color of the Chadwick's, it is impressive. Don't know how it's done with the fish, but you've caught a fisherman.

Thats a bit like one that I tie, and I can assure you it will do well with the fish, too.

I didn't understand the name of the fly until I read the recipe (Faux77 = Chadwick 477). Pretty clever name. Great fly, Bill.

Great lookin' fly, no smart comments, it's just a great lookin' fly...

Ray, Howdy;
Glad to see you caught the funny side of the fly's name....................
It's like I'm laying on the ground (in Summer), and the funny part was on it's way..." to da Moon Alice"
that far over my head...

Yes - both tasty, artistic and the real deal. Colour, curve of hackle, contrast to the hook - if I were British I might call it a lovely fly.
