Hook: Partridge #14 (sorry I don't know the model, I got them on clearance and all it said was Partridge wide gap #14) Maybe someone can recognize it.
Thread: primrose Pearsall's silk thread
Hackle: blue dun hen hackle of good quality
Tail: 2 or 3 glassy fibers of a rusty blue dun cock's hackle
Rib: one strand of yellow buttonhole twist
Body: muskrat underfur spun on primrose-yellow silk, a little of the silk showing through the dubbing at the tail

Gorgeous fly Carl. I did a little searching and I am going to guess that the hook is a "ALBERT PARTRIDGE WIDE GAPE Model YA".

See link below for additional information on the various Partidge hooks:
https://docs.google.com/viewer?url=http ... lg2005.pdf

I think the hook you used is shown on page 5, on the left hand side.

A very nice dressing, looks very fishable.
I noticed you went for the wingless option, fully in keeping with the ethos of this site.

Old Blue Hat,

Your flies are so beautiful and inspiring.
You don't need to hear it, but I need to say it.

Carl,

I am now barefoot as that fly knocked my socks off. Lovely wee fly, excellent color combinations.

Carl, that heavily pronounced segmentation is a nice take on this fly. Beautifully tied and a nice compliment to all the flies that go by this name. Mark Libertone's OBD has a similar segmentation wtih the silk. It's nice.
