Hare and Plover (flymph v.)

A take on a popular classic but never over-utilized pattern.
Hook: Daiichi 1330
Thread: Pearsasll's gossamer thread primrose
Body: Hare's fur (mix of mask and guard body hair) in dubbing loop
Hackle: Golden Plover

Thanks gentlemen. I've really grown to love the plover as a soft hackle. Took me a few years to get one, but the feathers are wonderful. For the most part very usable sizes on the bird. The marking in my opinion is just right. You get those highlighted ends that mimic the movement of legs and the nice dun color inside to represent the emerging wing.

Like your version of Hare and Plover. It has indeed a very classic look, but the pattern was invented by Roger Fogg.

Yes your right, I meant "instant" classic.
You know though that if they're designed in Europe they are all classics by the time they reach Oregon.
