And this is how he explains it:
I have had a fair degree of success over the last month with this fly. I sensed that a little more movement in the fly was needed than I was getting from the Sawyer Pheasant Tail and after a couple nights at the vice, came up with this flymph. The Trigger Point Fibres used in the hackle tend to become less waterlogged than feathers and may just provoke a little more interest from the trout.
Found on http://winterbournetheflytyer.blogspot.com/ when following a link on Phil Holdings site (FlytyingBoutique). I might just try it with a sparse hackle in front of those Triggerpoint Fibres...

That looks deadly.

Interesting! I've always thought of the Trigger Point fibers for dry flies and spinner patterns. Thanks for the suggestion.

Never heard of TP fibers. Is it an antron product?

The pattern looks great. Although I think I would add just a hint of partridge fibers into the hackle mix.
I hate it when I think I'm buying organic vegetables, and when I get home I discover they are just regular donuts.

Yes, that hint would qualify it for this forum.

Thanks for the link. Interesting stuff. I think the fly is just fine for the forum as posted. Just trying to envision a few partridge fibers in the leg mix.
