Otherwise I think we ought to take some of top gun" here and set up an "Iron Chef" competition: "The secret ingredient is....Tenkara!" (Extra points to the gent who pulls off the best Yellow Sally. :) )

Carl - How did you form the hackle on this fly? Did you split the silk and insert the CDC & partridge fibers, or did you wrap the feathers?

Wrapped back and finished behind the hackle. The basic pattern I got out of a book on tying with CDC.
